Tammy’s organization skills and attention to detail have brought DH’s billing department to the next level. She’s a multidisciplinary member of the Operations team and keeps the agency on our toes. If you have a question about billing or need a good laugh, Tammy is your answer.
What made you interested in agency work, specifically DH?
After the first interview here, the energy at DH was just really exciting! This is a great group of people. They’re interesting and have diverse opinions, yet there isn’t animosity about the opinions. Everyone has respect for each other and their perspectives make for well-rounded creative strategy.
What’s your favorite part of being the new Accounting Coordinator?
Mostly what I do is billing, so I like to see numbers add up correctly. It has always been one of those things that I find enthralling. When you’re reading, you have issues like pronunciation and different languages, but when you use numbers, it doesn’t matter. One plus one is always two. It’s comforting to know that if you do it right, it will always add up. And it’s nice to know you can always get the right answer as opposed to other things we do in life.
What are you most looking forward to in your career at DH?
I’m very excited about having Michelle as my mentor, so having some conversations with her is exciting and I’m learning more about this industry in general. Media buying is also an increasingly large part of business now, so I’m excited to take more of a role in optimizing this billing system with Jenny King, our Media Director. One of the things that really drew me here is the opportunity to do many different tasks, which isn’t the case for most accounting positions. Variety is the spice of life!
