Sara is the big-picture-thinker. No matter how large or chaotic the project. She gets everyone on the team to think that way too. That’s what makes her an amazing leader. With Sara at the helm, we pull off some amazing campaigns. All that, and she keeps DH’s internal process on track too.
What first drew you to DH?
I initially applied for an internship with DH back in ’98. Even back then—when we faxed all of our news releases, radio jingles were the go-to strategy, PR was synonymous with spin, and the cell phones were like bricks—DH had a reputation for high quality work, bold thinking and exceptional talent. I heard from my EWU advisor, Jeff Stafford, that DH was the up and coming PR firm. I reached out. Cher and Michelle interviewed me, and the rest is history.
What do you love about your job?
It’s the dream job—with a team that’s more like family than colleagues. This team is brilliant, creative, entrepreneurial, passionate, caring. You couldn’t find a more dedicated and amazing team. I’m inspired everyday.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
When I was 10, I wanted to get in the Guinness World Records for being the oldest person to throw a back handspring at the ripe old age of 80. I’m falling woefully short of said aspiration and am definitely going to have to ramp up my tumbling skills.
