Tell us a bit about your background that led you to the agency.

Most recently I was one of the founding members of a Solar company startup, serving as an in-house Designer and Art Director. I spent a good deal of time diving intimately into the many facets of our company’s identity as I sculpted it from the ground up. This tight-knit and collaborative environment left me with a strong desire to find a workplace that champions teamwork and passion, and DH has become that place for me.

What sort of design interests you the most?

The extremes of minimalism and maximalism always interest me. On one end of the spectrum, minimalism offers an impressively clean and simple focus while maximalism can be chaotic with multiple stories going on all the while remaining cohesive. As far as design that speaks to me, I’m drawn to design that that tells a unique story. Design can serve as the vessel for narratives. Great design can be the catalyst for change.

What drew you to DH?

The passion for the work is tangible here. Our agency culture feels like a family who believes that the work we do can powerfully connect people and play a role for the greater good in our communities. DH is a place where compelling stories are being told, shared and heard. I’m excited to be a part of that collaboration.

Outside of the office, what are you usually up to?

I am a huge music lover – and I’m a bit of an album purist. I enjoy discovering new artists and listening to their entire album to uncover themes that tie the whole thing together. I also spend time doodling and sketching for myself. The balance of a creative is separating the work side of you from the unbounded artist side of you. Tapping into my inner artist is grounding and even therapeutic for me – it’s about uncovering the answers to my own questions.
