Kalispel Golf and Country Club & 1898 Public House
WHEN THE KALISPEL TRIBE BOUGHT the Spokane Country Club, they invested in the future of the region’s most iconic golf course. DH helped the Kalispel Golf and Country Club bring its brand to life in time for golf season, emphasizing the visceral experience of the place where our region’s most passionate golfers call home.
Passion and Authenticity
The brand manifested in collateral, a website, unique direct mail pieces, TV spots and specialty items. All of which conveyed the Kalispel Golf and Country Club’s luxury brand while connecting authentically with passionate golfers.
DH later designed a suite of print advertisements and a video spot to showcase not only the luxury golf course, but the type of player who it was built for—the passionate golfer for whom golf is life. DH developed a creative brief for the video ahead of scripting to identify the right tone and visuals with the client, then built out a script with key shots and identified the production vendor to help with the shoot. The spot was edited into various formats for public play and membership, giving it great versatility for the club. The spot ran on targeted TV broadcast, premium websites as video pre-roll, and is featured on the new KalispelGolf.com.
A Unique Challenge
For the website, we faced a unique challenge. When the tribe approached us for a website we had very little time to design and launch it before the 2016 Spokane Golf Show. With this incredibly tight timeline, we suggested a phased approach to the site build. Phase one, based on the initial, emergent deadline, involved the design and development of a very basic, simple site limited to only the most essential information targeted at prospective club members. For phase two, the site underwent a complete strategy, design, and content enhancement. The new site showcases unique and robust content, derived from the club’s refreshed brand standards.
1898 Public House
The Kalispel Golf and Country Club also features a new gastropub – 1898 Public House – that is open to the public. DH built its brand and advertising launch campaign, designed to introduce the new restaurant and appeal to the region’s foodies.
